History, Philosophy & Objectives

The Academy has established itself as a reputable establishment in the field of health, beauty, and well being, and continues to strive for excellence and professionalism in massage therapy, facial skin care, beauty therapy, and nail technology. A broad range of educational courses, seminars, and subjects are presented with the understanding of both Eastern and Western philosophy and methods.

Academy programs began in 1979 specializing in natural health and fitness programs, courses and classes, which included senior citizen fitness, arthritis self-help, aerobics, nutrition, and energy training courses. Many of these Programs and academy instructors have been featured, both on ABC and NBC television including: Good Morning Palm Beaches, People Will Talk, PM Magazine, Focus, and many others. Academy Instructors have also appeared in many magazine articles, including “Changing Times.”

In 1983, the Academy became a licensed massage establishment, and provided stress management programs for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. In 1984, the Academy was licensed by the State Board of Independent Post secondary Vocational, Technical, Trade, and Business Schools, as a school of massage therapy and facial skin Care, license # 700. On August 2000, the Academy of Healing Arts was approved to teach the Nail Technology program. On May 18, 2001, the Academy of Healing Arts was approved to teach Cosmetology. In 2005, the academy changed its name to Academy of Palm Beach.

The mission of the Academy of Palm Beach is to provide students with skill, development, and the quality career education needed to become competent specialists in a high-demand career fields.

The Academy of Palm Beach’s primary goal is to train career minded individuals and offer education which will prepare our students to meet all the requirements and skills necessary, to become licensed specialists with proper training and experience in their careers.Presently, the Academy is a private Vocational School providing professional courses, treatments, continuing education courses, and professional development workshops in: Permanent Makeup, Eyelash Extensions, Hair Extensions, Makeup Artistry, Airbrushing Makeup, Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels, Photo Rejuvenation, Advanced Hair Cutting, State Exam Reviews, Instructor Training, Stone Therapy, Reflexology, Aromatherapy. Facial Skin Care, Beauty Therapy, Basic and Advanced Body Wrapping, Lymphatic Drainage, and Nutritional Health Management.
